The National Jazz Orchestra of Mexico (ONJMX A.C.), was born in 2015 with the aim of promoting contemporary music and jazz in Mexico and elsewhere. We seek to generate projects that empower national musicians, create new teaching spaces and strengthen links with other related institutions. The ONJMX works as a manager of scholarships, supports, clinics and exchanges, to further the knowledge and skills of its fellows with the commitment to give back in the different teaching programs. We integrate the best instrumentalists, arrangers and young composers of the national scene, achieving a quality ensemble for any stage in the world in terms of interpretation and proposal. With different influences that include, among others, jazz, classical music, Mexican popular music and contemporary music, the Orchestra has a wide repertoire that becomes a unique testimony of this talented generation made up of outstanding musicians in the national and international jazz scene.
